Message from Our PTA President

Dear ACE Families,

On behalf of the Amy Campbell PTA, we would personally like to welcome you to our wonderful Campbell Cubs community.  It’s official, we made it through our first year as a new school/PTA and we are excited to do great things in year two. My name is Bekah Davaul, and I am honored to serve as your PTA President this year. We strive to follow Texas PTA’s mission statement: to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

As we begin our 2019-2020 school year, we encourage you to get involved in the many opportunities available to support our school community. We are inviting you to help support our efforts by becoming a PTA member, volunteering, donating to our fundraising efforts, attend meetings, and join us at our fun family events. With your involvement and support, our PTA will continue to bring programs and activities that will enhance your child’s(ren’s) experience, promote learning, and further build our school’s community.

Our goal is to reach 100% membership. This year, your PTA membership allows us to purchase an educational magazine subscription for every student. We are partnering with TIME for Kids Magazine. This magazine builds informational reading skills, helps students to better understand our complex world, and become informed and active citizens.  You will find a membership form in your welcome packet for you to fill out and return. There are many ways to be involved in your child’s school experience, all of which will enhance the community at Campbell. We have a wonderful PTA Executive Board who are ready to welcome you, answer questions, show you how to get involved, and most of all get to know you better. 2019-2020 Spirit Wear

Sneak peek of this year’s spirit wear is finally here! A flyer with more details will be sent home this week. Please note, there will be NO spirit wear sales at Meet the Teacher, only pre-order deliveries.

Thank you for the great survey feedback from spirit wear this year – we heard you! We’ve added a hoodie, a long-sleeved option, and even a parent volunteer shirt! We are on a learning adventure together and hope you will Laugh, Love, and Learn with us this next year with fresh, new spirit wear.

The 2019-2020 spirit wear pre-orders will be available on the Campbell PTA website shop beginning May 24 for online ordering! If you order by July 25, your order will be tax free and your spirit wear will be available for pickup at Meet the Teacher on August 12.

Not sure about what size to order? Join us at one of five sizing events this summer – May 25, June 14, June 29, July 13, or **August 3 – so you can feel confident you’ll have the perfect fit. Each sizing event will be held at Greenthread Park from 10am to noon. We’ll have convenient reference sheets you can fill out and take home to jog your memory later about what size you desire for simple online ordering. Not comfortable ordering online? We’ll accept cash or check orders at the sizing events, but we encourage you to place your order online. All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds.

Spirit wear will not be sold at Meet the Teacher, only spirit wear distribution will take place on August 12. Orders placed after July 26 will be delivered to your child’s homeroom teacher by the end of August. Online ordering will continue to be available during the school year with deliveries made to your child’s homeroom teacher once a week. Inventory will be set for the remainder of the year by October so we encourage you to pre-order or place your order early in the school year so you are guaranteed the design you want in the size you want. For cash/check sales during the school year, one Friday every other month we’ll hold pop-up spirit wear sales during the lunch hours as well as at select events such as book fairs for remaining inventory. Look for future announcements for when these pop-up shops will occur.

Gracias por los excelentes comentarios de la encuesta sobre artículos de espíritu escolar de este año, ¡los hemos escuchado! Y tendremos una sudadera con capucha, una opción de camiseta de manga larga e incluso una camiseta de padres voluntarios. Estamos en una aventura de aprendizaje juntos y esperamos que puedan Reír, Amar y Aprender con nosotros este año que viene con la nueva y renovada colección de productos del espíritu escolar.

¡La venta anticipada de artículos de espíritu escolar 2019-2020 estará disponible en el 24 de mayo para pedidos en línea! Si realiza su pedido antes del 25 de julio, puede evitar pagar el impuesto sobre las ventas y su pedido estará disponible para ser recogido en Meet the Teacher el 12 de agosto.

¿No está seguro de qué talla pedir? Acompáñenos en uno de los cinco eventos de tallaje de este verano en donde podrá probarse los productos (25 de mayo, 14 de junio, 29 de junio, 13 de julio o   *3 de agosto) así estará seguro de que tendrá la talla adecuada. Estos eventos se llevarán a cabo en Greenthread Park desde las 10 am hasta el mediodía. Así mismo en estos eventos entregaremos hojas de referencia para que pueda llevarse a casa  y revisar con calma el tamaño que desea y hacer sus pedidos en línea. ¿No se siente cómo haciendo pedidos en línea? Aceptaremos pedidos de preventa sólo en efectivo o cheque en los eventos de tallaje, pero le recomendamos que realice su pedido en línea. Todas las ventas son finales. No hay cambios ni devoluciones.

Los artículos del espíritu escolar no serán vendidos durante Meet the Teacher, el 12 de agosto únicamente se entregarán las órdenes hechas con anterioridad. Órdenes hechas después del 26 de julio serán entregadas a la maestra de su hijo/a a finales del mes de agosto. Los pedidos en línea continuarán estando disponibles durante todo el año escolar con entregas hechas a la escuela una vez por semana. El inventario se establecerá para el resto del año hasta octubre, por lo que le recomendamos que realice un pedido anticipado o haga su pedido a principios del año escolar para que tenga garantizado el diseño que desea y en la talla que necesite. Durante el año escolar, podrá realizar comprar en efectivo o cheque un viernes cada dos meses. Tendremos venta de artículos de espíritu escolar durante las horas de almuerzo, así como en eventos seleccionados, como las ferias del libro, para el inventario restante. Esté pendiente de los  anuncios para estas tiendas emergentes el próximo año.

*Nota: El evento de tallaje del 3 de agosto es después de la fecha límite de preventa.
